A Couple of Peaks - Pictures
After a tough day of grading, I am almost done with the largest
English class. So I thought I would share a couple of wonderful
pictures that I took on the way up to Everest Base Camp on the Nepali
side (June 5, 2007).

These pictures are taken from somewhere around 15,000 feet if memory serves. The day before we trekked up to Tokla Pass, which is where the wonderful memorial is to all of the fallen Everest climbers. A very peaceful and honored place, by the locals, the sherpas, the trekkers, everyone...

(By the way, some of the other pictures I posted earlier require a click on "more" to view.)
(A second postscript: I am also watching and listening to the Space Station complete the outfitting of the Harmony node, which will be receiving the new Columbus European Lab Module in a few weeks! Amazing what the internet provides us!)
