Off to Putuoshan

OK - I think that I am basically ready for Monday's first classes. I have the website up and running with the PPT already available. I have the first problem set being copied now (for Money and Banking I always make my students calculate price indices, easy but I believe instructive of how the CPI and GDP deflators are calculated for 4 goods). I also have the syllabus approved and being photocopied now. Whew!

So I know where to go to get my ferry ticket for the night ferry to Putuoshan.  I also know that the fast boat back leaves at 12:30 and 1:30 in the afternoon.  So my plans are to leave here tonight (Wednesday night) get to Putuoshan in the early morning.  That gives me all day Thursday and Friday to hike Putuoshan, visit the temples and beaches, relax and recreate!  Then Saturday around noon, I will return - the two hour or so boat ride is followed by a two hour bus ride to get me to the Bund area.  We'll see from there what I wish to do:  Head up to Chengdu lu for the bus home or take a taxi.

But first a picture from another trip, one with the OP of Mesa State College - here we are in Guilin - a Chad pic:

Gives you close to the real feeling - I only enhanced it a little, really you would hardly notice!  The pagodas:

Thanks Chad for the pics - whew, I have been very lucky to take such trips and leave some of the picture
taking to others!

This trip - no camera and no pictures.  I like that for this trip!
