I pulled on old picture from last February 24th that I took on the way up to ski. Garfield looked so beautiful all covered in snow!  Never lasts with the sun on it but sure does look nice when it is there.



Mom's birthday was on Dec. 1 so I just finished chatting with her for an hour.  Skype is WONDERFUL, sometimes!  This morning I was bumped off and have had some issues that way, but that could be an ISP issue here in China!  Anyway, we had a great talk - 11 pm here and early morning there (6 am).  Also talked with Maureen on her 50th!  That was Nov. 26 - quite an excellent connection - they can't believe I am in Shanghai.  Tomorrow it's back to teaching - early morning here in Jia Ding and then the trip down to Zha Bei for two classes.  Just found out about the Shibor rate, much like the Libor rate in London - except of course this is the interbank lending rate here in Shanghai!
