Well THAT was interesting!  The trip from Shanghai to Chicago was fairly uneventful, though the view of the sun coming up on the Alaska Range will be a memory I will cherish.  Similar to the flight from Lhasa to Shangri La in China but that was in summer!  Tons of snow and mountain ranges in both cases.  Though the roof of the world has no comparison, Alaska and the Yukon again reignited my urge to travel through the area!!!  Wilderness!!!

Waiting around in Chicago was a little tiring but then I had a nice nap on the plane to SLC!  Snowing a little and the roads were a little treacherous but I made it here to Grand Junction at 4 am!!!  No cell phone, so I have already picked up a phone card - the OLD kind!!!  Laughing!  Lots of HEAVY fog on the road!!  Also some drivers were not careful enough!!

Turns out I can use Kannah Creek's WiFi from outside!  (Kannah Creek has one of the best Pale Ale's in Colorado - a great Nitro infused Stout too.  Oh and the is awesome as well - excellent pizza pies and cannolis.

Now WHAT do I do for the next few hours!!  I will be able to pick up my key for the storage unit, get skis, etc. Mail, etc. ... this morning so THAT is exciting!

THREE WEEKS to ski, visit friends and travel to San Diego to visit family (after all, it IS New Year's)!!
