Altaholics - the experience!
OK - so we had 15" of snow yesterday and an awesomely gorgeous, sunny, windless day today ... until 2 pm. THEN the NEXT storm began. By 4 pm we were again in a dump of snow - not quite the blizzard of yesterday but we are supposed to get a big dump tonight and tomorrow!
I am SOOO sore! Although my thighs are much better now after the jacuzzi!
Two shots from April 8, 2005: The first looks up the spine of the new Collins lift towards Baldy Mt. way in the distance...

The second looks sideways at the new Collins lift and up to High Rustler, the steepest and deepest in the continent by many accounts!

I often ski over to the left (as you are looking at High Rustler - that area is called Eagle's Nest and North Rustler. The only issue there is to make sure and avoid the cliffs, like I did today! Awesome powder in that area today - I did four runs in the North Rustler/Eagle's Nest area!
There was a 180"+ base at this time in 2006 and the sun ... well, you can see! Great fair weather skiing.
