Now today was an awesome day in Jia Ding, Shanghai!!!

Warmth abounded, acrobats, plays, food, dancing in the streets, dragons, women do lantern dances and land boat dancing in the streets ...!



The lanterns are magnificent and the riddles I am sure were tough to match - a tradition on the full moon after the lunar new year (the 15th day of the Lunar New Year).  Fireworks tonight!



The acrobatic lion jumped up onto pillars of steel, jumping around as if it could stand on two legs!  (Two men who carried each other on their shoulders at times and jumped from one steel pillar to the other - quite magnificent!).



The acrobatic lion and 2 dragons - quite the amazing scenes!



All of the dancers, lantern carriers, old men, boys on stilts, land boat women, etc. traveled through the old town of Jia Ding (yes on the stones as you see them!) - the colors and festive atmosphere was totally joyous and contagious!
