OK - luckily I cannot put a video on here as the music was totally Nepali and we already had a few!  Anyway, here is my birthday cake.



We had hiked up to Gorak Shep early so that we would be here by 8 am (they sang Happy Birthday at 16,000 ft, 18,000+ ft and then also here at 17,000 ft).  Dropped our backpacks and hiked up to the top of Kaala Patthar (5,550 meters) to take "the" pictures of Everest. Then four of us hiked across the glaciers to Everest Base Camp.  So after over 12 hours of hiking, we had dinner and cake!  Awesome!



Then we danced!  FOR TWO HOURS we danced to wild Nepali music!  (Just didn't want you to think that I always wore a suit and tie - laughing!)  I was just checking out the pictures from Chad on my hard drive - so much fun!
