I am back in Shanghai today with classes to start tomorrow!

While ALWAYS nice to be home, somehow I just loved lounging around in Jinghong and the countryside there! Mei Mei's felt like a wonderful congregating site and also there were other little spots to catch a beer and wander.

ALSO, EVERYWHERE was Pu'er Tea!  A very interesting blend in which the fermentation process is kept extremely close (kind of like the Coca Cola syrup recipe!!).  Not just from foreigners, but ANYONE!  The expensive stuff is VERY expensive and tasty!  One also has to properly prepare the tea with hot water first!  The young lady below showed and prepared some for me at Mei Mei's. 
                                    

Her apron looks very Tibetan, which is a long way south in Yunnan, but I do believe the influence reaches this far.
