Tai Ji - second class
OUCH - my muscles aren't used to staying in those positions for that long! Laughing!
An hour and a half is really about 20 minutes of warm up and then beginning to learn and try the form.
OK - my first post on Tai Ji is here - it was short, as will be the current post.
Notice I now spell it differently. The pronounciation is really "djee" not CHEE - as we would say!! I found that interesting and didn't know so until I tried to say what I was doing to a Chinese person!! They'll set you straight! Politely, of course!
So, the class of the first 8 forms is what I am in. The next class is 28 forms!! I will be happy learning and practicing the 8, no doubt!!
Judy went on a three day-two night bicycle ride and so wasn't able to be back in time. I thoroughly enjoyed the lesson and look forward to practicing! I kind of know two of the forms now!
Still - "relax shoulders" (he now knows how to say shoulders in English!). He is also learning "extend" (fingers in this case). Amazing how important it is to have one's hands and body in exactly the right position.
Speaking of which, time to practice! 6:40 am More after Tuesday's lesson!
