Alas, another ski season is almost over in the U.S.  With 164" base, Alta closes for the season - though they do open again next weekend for a last hurrah!

661" of snow fell during the season - significantly more than average (500").

So, now it is time to get in shape for kayaking and trekking season!  I bet that the Outdoor Program at Mesa State College is going crazy with all of the runoff from the snow melt!  Perhaps a bit too early for the wave yet, but that'll come too!

I am going to plan on some kayaking in the Strait of Georgia or at least along Vancouver Island and up towards Alaska, if the summer turns out as I believe it will.
