Tai Ji - Day 5
Wow - what a rainy day yesterday and again now today now! OH - AND NO WATER. THE WATER WAS ONLY TO BE OFF FROM 8 AM to 8 PM!! Now it is almost 8 am - the next day!
I was busy trying to get the Personal Firewall and Anti-virus back onto my computer so wasn't able to post last night!
4:30 am to 11:30 pm was a long day! Then I woke up with "worms in my computer dreams" - real worms!!! Freakin' weird! Laughing!
OK - so I have spent another hour with "them" (this was Anish) and no luck yet! (McAfee)
.....
Rain on the way to and during Tai Ji didn't affect us.
We have now leaned a new form (there are 8 forms and I believe we are learning our third now). There were two transitions from the second to the third form. Transitions are slight hand movements and shifts of weight.
One word I have now learned is Shift Weight. Funny how one doesn't dispute the teacher when you don't know the language!!! The other students will often get defensive but I really just can't! What do I do, speak in English! THAT'S going to accomplish a whole lot! LAUGHING OUT LOUD!
We get to practice in front of everyone - he makes slight fun of us, though not always trying to, he wants us to NOT be jerky, NOT move in certain ways (RELAX is my big thing, as you know by now!). The flow is so nice, I understand why he wants us to do so!
The next move he has us doing is quite funny - peculiar. The right hand is held out extended with the fingers all together - like you were holding something all in fingers dainty like! However, I will tell you the power in the moves. More than once he has told me to get into position and then tried to force against me. Resistance is easy when your body is in a strong position! Tai Ji is definitely a martial art, yet a very slow and delicate martial art! I am very happy learning the positions (forms) and I expect to continue through the next year too!
