OK - I just opened the blinds to look outside at 5:51 am - the white haze isn't pretty!!!  The diesel has no doubt accumulated from the night's trucks bringing in all of the food, gas, etc.

Somehow makes me wonder about my decision to stay and work another year!  Sigh - the bad with the good?!  Or something like that!  Luckily there always is much more good than bad! 

I SURELY wish the government here (AND IN THE U.S.) would raise the price of gas and diesel!!  In the U.S. to cover the cost of construction and repairs, appropriately.  If the gas and diesel taxes only went to pay for construction of roads, reparation and keeping them clear in the winter, etc., the full cost of the roads would more appropriately be born by those who use the roads.  Instead, we use the "general fund" - that means gas taxes go to pay for whatever and income taxes are used for road construction. 

So we (all) continue to use inefficient methods of transportation.  Inefficient because we rationally use the least cost method for transportation, however the least cost method is only least cost because the government says so, not because that method economically IS least cost (i.e. fully reflects the entire cost).

Then again, I wouldn't make a good politician, no doubt!  I tried political science - it didn't take!  Laughing!
