MORE Teppenyaki Restaurant Pictures - Banana flambe

I just HAD to have scallops, we ate so much that I am STILL full!

Our bard (Stephen, remember we went to see his band play at the Monk, he already broke up the band!), he ALWAYS carries around at least ONE guitar - except maybe when he leads those mountain bike weekend trips.

Here's an excellent picture of Adam - the Scotsman, no doubt!  Wants to live up Dong bei - northeast, IN CHINA, yes!  The version of "Mandarin" (pu tong hua) spoken up there is "purer."  Here down south, it is not just the influence of the Shanghainese language, most people would say so, the "tones" in the language are more of the true sound in the northeast.  Elena Yan (Yan Jian ching), one of my office mates even says so - of course she IS from Tai Yuan, a hundred or so miles from Beijing.

Danielle is headed off to Loyala and a Masters degree (though I am not sure if NYU won't yet pull her away from an ALL Catholic upbringing - yes, her undergraduate was there too and all Catholic high school, etc.)  Again, they wouldn't let us drink the beer without filling our glasses!

And of course banana's flambe ...

Worthy of two pictures, don't you think?!

As I was the only one needing to head back to "THE DING" - I felt the need to split soon after this!  Especially since one of the Associate Deans had come over to chat, sitting next to me in Jane's spot!  Actually, we had a great talk but it was still time to go at 10:30 pm!  I can't wait to live IN the city and not have a half hour taxi ride home every night I want to go out!
