Nice cool rain today!

Last night we had a nice lightning and thunder storm, along with quite a bit of rain.  Today is nice and cool!!

I booked a ferry for tomorrow morning up the Sunshine Coast, as they call the area up the coast from Vancouver.  The coast is impassible by car without taking the ferries.  There would be three ferries to go up and across to Vancouver Island from here but only one if I come back and go straight across (the ferries only cost money going one way).  So I will go up to Sechelt, where my cousin Wendy lives, then they have a little boat to take us over to the island their main house is on, North Thormanby Island.  I will probably stay there Friday, Saturday and come back on Sunday.

My cousins build aluminum tubs, stand alone so that they can be hot and used without electricity.  Of course this means no jets/whirlpool action but that's fine by me!  Heated by a wood fire, all contained in his package, they can easily fit 6 people.  One other nice feature is that their hot tub sits on the edge of the Straight of Georgia and the bald eagles swooped back and forth along the cliff two years ago when we visited.

Last night I visited my cousin Karen and her daughter Denise, but they wouldn't let me take pictures!  Karen is just a young kid, 6 months older than me!
