More animals and a map

Also in Telegraph Cove was a brown mink scampering across the dock (before part of it broke loose).  There is a nice little bones of whales museum at the end of the dock as well.

I had to take a few pictures of the eagles sitting in the tree above the Cove.  They were actively communicating with another and flying around regularly during the three hours I was hanging in the area.

Can you find the two eagles in the picture??!!

You might have to zoom in to see the names but the area after the inner island highway comes back to the coast is where I am talking about.  To the right (South) of Telegraph Cove you will find the protected area that the Orcas often reside.  Amazingly enough, there are two sets of "resident" Orcas or Killer Whales - Northern and Southern which do crossover a little around the middle of the island.  They do not however, "do" things together.  84 in the southern group and around 220 in the northern.  These are all fish eating Killer Whales and come for the summer runs of the salmon mostly!!
