To Whitehorse and then what?!!

What an eventful morning, eh?  Next, just after the border and back into Canada - the YUKON TERRITORY this time - I came upon this azure lake...

The description of the way the colors come about is just as interesting and so I attached it next ...

Though only 60 miles from Skagway to Whitehorse, I have clearly spent a couple of hours.  So breakfast was in order with a quick trip through the visitor center and then on to the Alcan highway...

Highway 1 to WATSON Lake and #2 goes to Carcross, someone is having fun!!  Lots of beautiful scenery, clouds, a little rain and the continental divide (where DID those pictures go? ... ok later) ... we find my connection ...

My plans originally were to do the upper route to Prince George, but after chatting on the ferries with a couple of people and then talking with my Aunt Agnes, who grew up in Terrace, I decided on Highway 37, the Cassiar-Stewart highway and then the Yellowhead highway (16)...the southern route.  I am so happy that I did.  I would have to say it is the best mountain drive I have ever taken.  Around every corner another set of different mountains, and nobody to see anywhere (almost)!!!
