Home town Iowa
I received a tour of hometown Iowa, just north of Cedar Rapids. First to Dad's house ...

A view of the hills just outside ...

And a picture of the State Penitentiary at Anamosa nearby ...

Yes, the Pen is still in use today and quite the landmark, eh?!? Just don't pick up any hitchhikers!

Off to the Stone City Quarry - tons go to Los Angeles and around the U.S.! Then it was time for a stop at the Stone City Pub, of course!!!

Steve and Drew ...

Nice little pub on the river but we weren't done viewing the "home town" area yet as it was off to Waubeek!

Population ... 87 ... to the bar!

Yes, this it the bar in town with a GREAT area outside for bands, etc. Then there is the tree growing out of stone ...

see the root coming out of the stone down below beside Steve?!! Wow, Steve said - "Get me for perspective!"
Here's me showing off the root ...

Just a little tour through a small part of Iowa - THANKS Steve!
