Jia Ding park - revisited!
Last year on November 26th, I posted a few pictures of our visit LAST year to the Jia Ding park and Civil Service Exam Museum. I decided it would be fun to go again, this time in the MORNING when it wasn't 90+ degrees and humid! grin! First we visited the tablets area, very much like the Mayan "stellas" in Guatemala and Honduras!!

Amazing how detailed they are and still readable after 800+ years!

As you can see from the stellas one the other side of the entrance (behind me here), these are not small stone tablets!!! (Note that I have my "Point to La Point", Lake Superior T-shirt on - Ulf and I provided support in kayaks for swimmers attempting the 2 mile mass swim.)

After entering the courtyard and walking down the central path, we came to the huge temple. Obviously too large to capture with one photo but I believe you can get the feeling - incense burning and quite reverent.
