Last night we went to the Blue Frog
Ah yes, the favorite watering hole of many a foreigner (and occasional Chinese). The Blue Frog has a 4 pm to 8 pm 2 for 1 drink "Happy Hour" which is a long (and rare in Shanghai) find! A pint is 40 yuan for a draft but then only 20 during Happy Hour (2/1), which is about right at a bar (in my opinion). You can buy them in the grocery store for around 5 yuan!! Now in the French Concession (where some of us ended up later - beers can be 25 yuan for 330 ml or 50 yuan for a pint).

I was a little late getting out my camera but Keith was taking pictures so I may be able to trade and post more.
Above is Greg, we were here at the Blue Frog last week too when Brad was setting up this evening! I still don't know all of the new English teachers yet but I am working on it!!!

Keith stopped taking pictures to cut his birthday cake!!! Jayson is from Korea and his mom owns a car dealership in Chong ching (up the Chang Jiang or Yangtze River).

Brad (Associate Dean for the English side of SILC) and Martin (Events Coordinator for SILC) do a raffle of 100 yuan gift certificates for the Blue Frog!! Four were given out, if I counted right!! grin

Two free drinks paid for by SILC has become a tradition (there were Chinese teachers too - Keith took those pics). Did I say two drinks - yes, SILC paid for two, which means four during Happy Hour! We were HAPPY!
