Well, what was FUN is now a bit more of a chore!!!

 

While on the top, there is only gauze, the bottom of the cast is totally plaster.  The two fingers are encased in plaster two, which is what I wanted.  The last gauze wrapping done by the student-Shanghai University clinic didn't even last two days!!!  I was waving my hands in class (as I do while teaching, right?  - said to my former students out there!!!  grinning wildly, not to mention all the walking around!), and I would have this trailing/dangling piece of gauze at least six inches long!!!

So anyway, the new X-ray showed the bones ARE mending together - NICE!!  And this next period is very important, so I said yes, to the Doc, I agree we need to go with a hard support. 

WELL SHOOOOT!!  Typing is now almost impossible with my left hand!!!  GRRR ... and I thought that I was frustrated  before!!!

Anyway, I will go in every week on Friday now.  No sense traveling to go SCUBA diving for now, eh?!!?  Mountain climbing is probably NOT a good idea either, eh?  Hmmm, Where to go for National Day week.
