Traveling by shuttle bus into Jia Ding District we have watched this area being destructed and constructed over the past year plus.  The area is at a major elevated freeway intersection (as you can tell below).

 

The traffic jam Friday was caused by a 4 car accident.  You can see some of the cars and busses lined up waiting on the overpass/on ramp and merge area.  The bridge construction shown in the previous day's post MAY have been a little bit of a help in the "cause" of the accident!!!  Only took 1.5 hours to make our 30 minute trip on Friday morning!

Anyway, here is more of the change - construction/destruction - all at the same time!

 

Then right next to the above area is the next picture ... notice houses that people are living in right next to the ones being torn down!!

 

Still LOTS of clearing to do!!!  However, with the Shanghai market much "softer" now for new housing ...  ALTHOUGH, the government is calling on banks to support more housing mortgages!?!  Hmmm, .... we shall see, eh?
