Weekly Grocery Shopping

While not always the same, the picture below is a fairly typical weekly purchase at the local supermarket.

Everything from milk and Dijonaise mustard, to eggplant, two types of tomatoes (only the red ones are organic - supposedly!), little bok choys, califlower, broccoli, hot peppers, four types of mushrooms, a red onion, bananas, ginger, ears of corn and carrots.  The two bars of soap are notbought typically each week but YES, regularly (as needed - grin)!  The sesame bagel was bought while sending my ballot to Grand Junction from the U.S. consulate in Shanghai on Friday (along with a loaf of sourdough).  I FAXed it!  Waiting on confirmation though.  OH - and a Coca Cola bottle that fits in the fridge.  I still have orange juice, Welch's red grape juice and beer in the fridge so no need to pick them up!  I cart this all home in my backpack.  A plastic bag now costs 2 jiao, if you need them.  I can not even imagine how many fewer bags there are blowing around in the streets now!!

Oh, I like how the flash reflects off the glass of the dinning room table - very big grin.
