Well, I am now up to 2 Megabytes per second of speed on the internet.  We shall see how much of a difference it makes but at twice the speed, already I seem to be able to tell the difference!!

Rain has POURED down the last few days and rain means very few taxis are available, the subway is packed AND the subway runs more slowly too!!  HOWEVER, the air is MUCH cleaner, which is awesome as I was having a tough time!

Life in Shanghai is amazingly fast paced and moving very slowly - BOTH at the same time.  I can be walking through the subway from one line to the other and some people are running, others are slowly sauntering, still others are browsing the shops along the way.  Then there are the pan handlers - some very crippled!! 

I found out WHY the subway lines are so far apart in People's Square and at the Shanghai Railway Station.  The lines were created by different companies!!  So they didn't use each others' stations!!  Now the lines have been combined but the distance between lines at these two stations can make travel VERY INTERESTING!!!  grin
