From Beijing to Shanghai, the weather sure is ...
VASTLY different!!!
The pollution was getting very bad when I left Beijing. The air was VERY dry and sunny (though a thick haze from the coal fires used for heat the Hutongs (one story areas that are like a maze of back street alleys). Here's a picture of one during the evening - they are awesome. Everyone going about buying dinner or shopping or fixing stuff or just visiting.
In Shanghai, I arrived to cloudy weather and a balmy 59 degrees. The rain began as I took the bus home, a mistake if I were looking to do anything other than spend an hour and a half on the bus!! Now I know! Laughing. Loving the rain and clouds!
