Thanksgiving at the Marriot, Hongqiao

The food is awesome and the cost is too, but hey where else are you going to get a Turkey in Shanghai, eh?

At the Shanghai Hong Qiao Marriott (Hong Qiao is the "old" airport that I just flew in to from Beijing - now used for domestic flights).

We will be stuffed tonight!!

          HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

    How was it, Drew?

The worst part of going to thanksgiving dinner at someone else's house is that you don't get to have a turkey sandwich the next day. And I am hungry for a turkey sandwich! Oat meal will have to do.

Hey you should be here. Ulf has fired up the sauna 4 times now. It is marvelous.
No venison in the freezer yet and that is a sad thing.
Hope you are well. Love Pat

      HEY PAT!!

Wish I was there too - those saunas are awesome!!  grin  Glad to hear you're using it!!

I ate too much at the Marriott - but didn't have a 75 yuan ($11) glass of wine like a colleague of mine did!!!  Laughing!

Ate TONS of sashimi, oysters, clams, crab ... and that was the appetizer!!  Two plates full, plus I also got desert at the beginning!!!  Good thing I did too or the pumpkin pie would have been gone AND YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVE PIE!!!  grin!

Then a plate of ham, beef medallions, mashed potatoes, etc. etc.  Then a plate of turkey and they brought turkey to our table so another there.  They also brought nicely cooked brussel sprouts (I know - must be one of the only ones on the planet that like them!), carrots, mashed potatoes, etc.

OH - then Hagen Daaz  with sprinkles at the end!!!   Oh my goodness!!  grinning WILDLY!!!

GOOD LUCK ON THE DEER HUNTING!!!
