Well, well, WELL!  I spent much of yesterday calculating the students grades (and recalculating) so that they received EXACTLY the same percentage!!!  No matter what!!!

Yes, it is true!!!

After teaching for a year and a half (almost), one of my students missed the final exam (out of 250 this term alone).  So the administrator who was putting my grades into the computer at the University wondered how he could still get 15%!!!  Of course, I had forgotten about him.  He would have flunked the class anyway!  Laughing!  To get to 60% I was just adding the Midterm test to the Final exam.

She said you can't DO that - oh, I said, then just give him a zero!!  No, we had to have a meeting, of course I said big deal - "fire me"!  I'll go and get another job, no worries!!  Laughing!  Well, I would not say that I am indispensable, by any means, but I will not go back on my syllabus.

I told the students HOW their scores would be calculated and those are the grades the students will receive!!! And they have (at least to my knowledge).

Of course I did NOT flunk enough students, but THAT is ALWAYS TRUE!!!  Most Deans want more, of course MY Dean also doesn't want TOO many!!  Laughing ...
