HEY, HEY, HEY - getting that feeling of skiing!!!

The ice never left many of the pools of water and the highest the wind chill made it was -5 C!!  Let me TELL YOU!  That was brisk - grin!

The actual recorded high was ZERO Celsius or 32 degrees F!  I wondered why it felt a little cooler in the apt this morning!  Laughing!

Shanghai doesn't get too much colder, usually - though tonight, I bet it will get much colder than the forecast of -3 C!  The wind is out of the north and stiff.

On another topic - oil prices fell below $34!  That was on the January contract, which expired on Friday.  Now the February contract is below $43!!  From what I have seen, demand isn't increasing and suppliers can not afford to cut supply more - that would decrease their income too much! 

We're back in June of 2004!!!  The last time gas prices were the same as today - $1.77 (on average).

Cushing, Oklahoma made it into the news again!!  I used to live right next to Cushing in Stillwater at Oklahoma State University.

Cushing is a big huge oil storage area - the West Texas Intermediate Crude price comes from Cushing, OK!  Quite awhile ago there was also a big refinery in Cushing.  So Why was Cushing in the news?

Too much oil in the storage facility!!  Too much supply, the price falls - Microeconomics 101!!  grin
