Merry Christmas Eve!!
Whew, it is already 1:30 pm and I have yet to get into the city to pick up bread!!! Of course I DID get out to the store to do my grocery shopping (I always shop early to avoid the crowds checking out!) and picked up breakfast along the way to eat at home reading the Shanghai Daily. I love to have a little fried egg wrap, 4 jiaozi and 8 Nan Xiang Xiao Long ( the last two are types of dumplings). TOO much to have them more than twice a week but I do enjoy!!
Since then (9 am) I have been mostly on the phone, wishing friends and family a Merry Christmas Eve - since it IS so here!! Grin!
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE!!!
I thought that I would include a couple of pictures from Beijing and the Forbidden City, the home of the Ming and Qing Dynasty Emporers: (Moon over the top - nice!)
Above the Hall of Supreme Harmony, see the people down over at the right? Yes, those are people and this is a BIG building.
The explanation above for the building and Seat of Honor below.
I thoroughly enjoyed wandering through the Forbidden City. Wanted to go back and wander again with the translation but there were too many other things to do in and around Beijng!! One month ago but the weather here is now finally as cold as it was then there!
