One of the areas many people gravitate to in Shanghai is called Jingan.  However, usually people wander around the Jingan Temple and Nanjing Road West.  Instead after eating breakfast at City Diner I wandered to the south and Yan'an Road (the big elevated road)

However, there are still many side streets with the flavor of older Shanghai:

 
The a walk over to the other side of the elevated highway a Villa appeared!!

Yan'an Road is the elevated part.  I am on the walkway and below is the ground level roads.  A bit of the flavor of the freeway system.
