The Great Wall Jinshanling - Pictures
A few quick pictures of the trip up - the others will be posted back on November 18, 2008 once I return to the U.S.A. on Friday/Saturday.
The bus ride up is 4 hours but you do get ONE stop, so make the best of it!!! Leave at 6 am ..
At the one and only stop, we can see what Gas prices were in the middle of November still - 6.85 yuan to $1 (PER LITER PRICE)!!
Multiply by 4 and you have still $4 per gallon when in the U.S. it was already down below $2. The government HAS lowered the price recently to around 4 yuan per liter but still above many places. And yet, many still travel by car!
Umm, so NOBODY is here except us!?! WOW, nice to have the Great Wall to ourselves!! Relax and enjoy the 4 hour walk to Simatai!
