Yes, on CCTV 5, one of the government channels.

Of course, as with most countries, when Na Li, the tennis player, has a match, the news follows - just like in the U.S. during the sports part of the news.

During pauses in the game - not during advertising because OF COURSE the Chinese advertise too!!! - there were two commentators who rambled on about the game.  Very similar to the U.S. - except, of course, they all talked in Chinese ... laughing!

OH - and there was more than the usual yelling for Yao Ming, of course, too!!  grinning

The weather has been unusually pollution free what with the clouds and occasional rain, though almost always at night the last few days.  Very nice!

I caught a case of the "Crud" - on Sunday - just started coughing, no sore throat, nothing else.  Now a bit more in the throat but mostly from coughing.  Tough to teach when the throat is so affected.


Give back mid-term exams today!  Tough test - but then those of you who have had me before KNOW that, eh? But this was a REALLY tough test - ok, you all say that!  grin...
