Snorkeling at Alta - Skiing Powder SO Deep ...!

Hello Alta Powder Hounds...

 

In the last 24 hours, Alta Ski Area received 15" of new snow.

The settled mid-mountain base is currently: 126".

So far this season we've received 401" of snow

I have skied snorkel days before!!  When you receive 2 feet of powder, you cannot breathe as the snow comes up and over your head!!  Therefore, you need to stop skiing!!  Just to breathe!!!  So wearing a snorkel allows you to just keep skiing!!  Seriously!!!

On January 29th, I didn't we didn't get pictures of quite that deep but it was awesome:

As we like to say, SKI  UUuuuuuTTTTAAaaaaahhhHHHHH!!!


Whhooping and hollering IS allowed!  grinning!
