Karnak, the largest Temple - More Luxor Pics
The next day we arose very early to catch the opening of Karnak at 6;30 am, before all the tourist buses and managed many pictures with nobody else in them!!! Here are a few:
Early morning blue sky and wonderful golden colors ...
In between the columns you can still see the colorful artwork of the Ancient Egyptians ...
Ankh is a very important symbol of life (the circle with the cross) in Ancient Egypt ...
The columns are everywhere, massive and amazing!
And then there is the Perfect Image!!!.....
Well, maybe the hat needs to go .... grinning!
Finally, one of the many maps of Karnak showing where we are and the general scope of the area we are currently visiting. While 6 hours does NOT allow a full visit of everything, the heat and overload of ruins leads us back to the Queen's Valley Hotel for a dip in the pool and well deserved nap before the night time sail along the Nile River.
