In Göreme (Cappadocia) for Three Days, Two Nights
Göreme (Cappadocia) is a VERY old area of Turkey, and which for thousands of years the residents of the area have developed, most often using the existing stone to make houses, churches, and life within!!!
Today we took a tour of the "Open Air Museum," which consists of many churches and houses in a community that has been restored a little and designated as a U.N. World Heritage Site, nearby Göreme.
Early afternoon has found us desiring naps as we will be up tonight at a "Turkish Night" - with food and dancing -from 8 pm to midnight!!
Tomorrow we take a huge "Southern" Tour of the area to visit underground cities, frescos, etc. etc.
