The Cold has set in!!
The weather has turned crisp, at least for us in Shanghai. YES, people still sit outside to eat in light jackets, etc. but they're Shanghainese and the restaurants are local little noodle shops or the like. All you need is an entrance area and you can set up shop! Some actually are quite good and the Muslims have a reputation for good, fresh noodles. In fact you will often see one of the kids (males) making noodles in the shop or just outside.
Alas, all is changing with Expo but there are still many places where life is still running at the old pace in Shanghai.
Temps are at 5 for the high (Celsius) and -1 for the low (with a -4 degree windchill at the moment (according to Intellicast.com)!!
That's low 40s for the high in F and 29 for the low (according to the Weather Channel).
Skies are sunny and the pollution is fairly normal for a winter, high heating, day!
