Hiking the Ridge
Alan and I immediately changed into some warmer clothes and begin a hike along the ridge from the motel.

As you can see, a hat had already become necessary, in the morning, many of our travelers would have almost all of their clothes on at the same time. The weather sure didn't feel like the tropics!!! When at 7,000 feet, you do expect to be cold, even in the tropics!

Way back behind me on the ridge is the motel. The hike was very easy, the view spectacular, and the air quite cool for 4 pm.

Most of the crops were multi-cropped, like these cabbage and onions.

Returning to the motel, you can see where the crater's edge is.

A local walking up the ridge amongst the corn.
