Mountain Trip Booked!!
We just finished booking the mountain trip up Kinabalu - a 4,100 meter high mountain spire. The actual peak is called Low's Peak and is really 4,095 meters, with about 6 other peaks of slightly lower height (or spires of different height). The climb is NOT cheap, however we decided to come down by the highest Via Ferata in the world (Guinness World Record Certification). Via Ferata means iron highway and cost us a little bit more.
So WE SHALL SEE what THAT means!!! There are 7 of us doing the hike - one day up to the lodges, then we get up at 2:30 am to summit and watch the sun rise!! Back down by evening and van back here to KK. We leave on July 5, returning July 6.
