Into Gurung Mulu National Park

First we traveled to Miri yesterday from Brunei, a fairly good distance that took about 4 hours.  After securing a place for the night and food, we settled down so that we could take the early plane to Mulu.  Mulu is inaccessible by driving and the boat ride is at least 24 hours, so we opted for the 30 minute flight.

Mulu has three major activities: caves (and more caves), a jungle canape walk - longest in Southeast Asia, and the pinnacles hike (really a climb).  With only 5 days, we had to really keep on our toes to get everything done!!

Planning session, how to do all of the activities in our allotted time!!

The long boats lined up ready to be put into action the next day!

The board walks to trek through the rainforest!!  Amazing all of the infrastructure in the National Park!

Then there was all of the amazing flora, fauna, and insects!!
