Delayed Baggage and IN THE USA!
HAH - I made it to Detroit from Shanghai, picked up my baggage and checked into the U.S. However, we were late leaving Shanghai because of the line up of planes on the tarmac, waiting to leave. After 40 minutes of waiting, we DID finally take off, but my plane for Minneapolis left before I could make it through immigration and customs in the U.S.A.
So, we did the what ifs and came up with a bit later plane to Minneapolis and a little later plane to Duluth FROM Minneapolis. The direct flight from Detroit did not arrive in Duluth until 11 pm and I wanted to be in Wisconsin sipping a cold beverage by then!!
When I arrived in Duluth, my friend was there to meet me but my large bag was not ... delayed.
LUCKILY, it showed up the next day in time to pack and organize for the Monday morning, 8 hour trip up to Terrace Bay, Canada!
